Utah Motorcycle Accident Fatal for Nevada Resident

Posted By Ron Kramer on July 28, 2009

Nevada Man, Joel Norman Macrae of Spring Creek, Nevada died Saturday, July 25, 2009 when he lost control of his motorcycle.  The Utah Highway Patrol says the 52-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle around the curve of a mountain highway and was run over and killed by another driver. The Utah motorcycle accident occurred on state Route 143 in Iron County near Brian head.

State Troopers say Macrae was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver who ran over Macrae wasn’t hurt but a passenger in that vehicle complained of a shoulder injury.

Police are still investigating whether speed or another impairment might have been contributing factors in the crash. So far, no such findings have been released.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Joe Macrae. Our best wishes to his family as they deal with this tragic loss.
