Posted By Ron Kramer on November 12, 2009
A truck driver was injured after his semi truck slammed into the rear of another truck on Interstate 84 near Howell, Utah on November 10, 2009. Authorities attribute speed as the likely cause of this Utah trucking accident.
According to standard.net, the driver of a UPS semi truck was heading west around 8:36 when he failed to notice that the semi truck in front of him was traveling at a slower speed. The UPS truck jack-knifed after it clipped the rear of the other semi which was carrying crane parts. The impact of the crash caused the cab of the UPS truck to rip off.
The driver suffered head injuries and was taken in good condition to Bear River Hospital in Tremonton, Utah. Fortunately neither the passenger in the UPS nor the driver of the other truck was injured.
