A pregnant woman and her fiancé were killed on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in a tragic Utah car accident. The crash took place on U.S. Highway 40 in Summit County, Utah. According to the Salt Lake Tribune and the Utah Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old woman and her 21-year-old fiancé were traveling to work early Saturday morning. The couple was headed west in a white Chevy Cavalier near the interstate 80 interchange in Summit County when the woman began to swerve for an unknown reason. Her car went into a spin, crossed the median and  hit a Jeep Cherokee that was traveling the opposite direction.

The woman, who was seven months pregnant and her fiancé were killed instantly. The driver and passenger in the Jeep were flown to University Hospital and are in serious condition. There injuries are not considered life threatening. I offer my sincere condolences to all victims in this car accident.
