Utah Construction Worker Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

Troopers are searching for the driver of a truck that hit and killed a construction worker who was working on Interstate 15. The driver hit the man and took off. According to KSL news, the driver was traveling south on 1-215 near 3300 South around 7:30p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009. The workers were standing in the lane nearest the shoulder that was coned off. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the truck entered the coned off lane going 40 to 50 miles per hour and struck one of the workers from behind and kept going.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Brayden Beddoes. He was rushed to hospital where he later died. Witnesses say the truck was blue and white– possibly an old Dodge. Troopers suspect the truck suffered significant damage. If you have any information on the whereabouts of the driver or truck, please contact authorities.
This is a horrible Utah construction accident that claimed that life of an innocent man. I offer my condolences to the family of Mr. Beddoes.
